Booking


Royal Orchid Holidays Fly-Drive packages are sold in conjunction with Thai Airways Inernational First, Executive and Economy Class tickets.
Royal Orchid Holidays Fly-Drive package rates are only available if pre-booked and pre-paid through THAI sales offices or THAI appointed travel agents. The renter must obtain a pre-paid voucher (Tour Order) from THAI and present this when collecting the car in Thailand, at the commencement of the rental period. The renter will also need to present a credit card for payment of any extras and lodgement of B/5,000 bond.
Note: All rentals are subject to the full Terms and Conditions of AVIS or Budget Agreement, which should be studied by the renter at commencement of rental period.
Included in Rental Rate


- An air-conditioned car, in the rental group of client's choice. The rental companies reserve the right to substitute a car of similar standard/grade, if client's original choice is not available.
- Unlimited kilometres of driving.
- Free delivery and collection to Royal Orchid Holidays hotels in Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Phuket during normal working days and office hours.
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), covering insurance on the rented vehicle and Third Party Property, subject to an excess charge of 5,000 Baht.
- Third Party Liability insurance.
- Government tax (Value Added Tax).
- One way rental charge for minimum 3 days rental.
Items not Included in Rental Rate


Cost of fuel consumed, parking and toliway fees, traffic fines, personal effects and accompanying property insurance.
Rental Period


Rates are charged on the basis of a consecutive 2~hour period, with a minimum rental of two days. A grace period of 59 minutes is allowed before an additional full-day rental is charged.
Pick-up/Drop-off Points


The rented car may be picked up and returned at AVIS or Budget contact points in Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Phuket airports. Cars may also be delivered to Royal Orchid Holidays featured hotels in city centre locations, by prior arrangement.
Cross Border Rental


The rented car must not be driven across any of Thailand's borders, even temporarily. Violating this rule will result in the voiding of any and all insurance coverage and the renter shall be responsible for any and all losses or damage that may arise.
Age Limit


Minimum age for car rental in Thailand is 21. There is no upper age limitation.
Liability of THAI


THAI is responsible only for the air travel portion of this program performed on behalf of the passengers in accordance with the terms and conditions of the individual passage contract which are subject to applicable laws, treaties and regulations governing air transportation. THAI may not be held responsible for any act or omission or event during the time passengers are not aboard the aircraft. The passage contract when issued shall constitute the sole contract between THAI and passengers. In purchasing the passage contract, passengers acknowledge and accept the foregoing conditions.
THAI and or their agents act as Agent only to the transportation services and shall not assume any responsibility for loss, damage, injury, accident, delay, changes in schedule, hotel over-booking or other inconveniences to the passenger, whether by reason of defect in any vehicle or through acts of default of any company or person engaged in conveying or housing the passenger or in carrying out arrangements of the tour, or otherwise in connection therewith. THAI and or their Agent shall not assume responsibility in connection with any of the aforementioned services or through acts of war, national disturbances or causes of nature. The transportation companies and hotels shall be exempt from liability in respect of any detention, delay, loss, damage, sickness, or injury however and by
whomsoever caused, and of whatever kind occurring on or to the passenger at any time when the passenger is not on board a carrier or conveyance used or operated by the transportation companies or hotels.
Travel Documents


Passengers must possess a valid passport and driver's licence and are responsible for obtaining any necessary visa etc., prior to departure. Please check with travel agent of THAI for details of visa requirements.
Extension of Stay Expenses


Stopover expenses, accommodation etc., for passengers awaiting commencement of their chosen tour, after terminating, or while awaiting onward connections are not covered in the Fly-Drive tour price. THAI can, however, arrange for accommodation and other services at points of arrival or departure at favourable prices.
Insurance


THAI strongly recommends that travellers take out holiday and medical insurance. Consult THAI offices or an insurance broker.
